Encinitas resident Steve White founded White Construction Inc. in 1983. Under Steve’s leadership, the company has become known for quality and professionalism and has sustained a trend of steady growth. As a result of his entrepreneurial success, Steve is grateful to be in a position where he can "give back" by supporting select local and international non-profit organizations.

Prior to launching White Construction, Steve managed the California division of a solar energy firm and served as a regional Construction Manager for a large motel chain. He is a graduate of UCLA with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Steve built his own custom home near Moonlight Beach. He’s active in his community and in his free time he enjoys tennis, sailing, surfing, and the North County beach lifestyle.

Travis Shain
President

As president of White Construction, Travis supervises the company’s team of project managers and oversees day-to-day operations. He has been an integral part of the management team since coming aboard in 1990. Travis has helped drive the company’s growth -- from four employees and one million in sales to 22 staff members and $20 million in sales.

Travis attributes the company’s success to integrity and staying focused on client needs. “It’s simply a matter of standing behind our work and living up to our promises in terms of deadlines, budgets, and quality.” He holds a B.S. degree in Finance from SDSU and is a licensed Real Estate Broker and General Contractor. Outside the office, he enjoys outdoor activities with his family and playing golf.
